After a restful Thanksgiving, things have returned back to normal. On Wednesday, we flew to Seattle to visit the Cutter & Buck headquarters. Cutter & Buck is my longtime partner and the manufacturer of my clothing line, the ANNIKA Collection. They showed me the distribution center – how everything is embroidered, how efficiently they can ship merchandise, and how their headquarters operates. It was a VERY impressive operation and it was fun to get an inside look at how things are done. I also got a chance to sign autographs and take photos with many of the employees. Then I met with the ANNIKA Collection design team and went through the spring 2009 collection. It is looking great! In its ninth season (fall and spring), I'm proud to say that the collection has become the best selling women’s line at Cutter & Buck, accounting for over 50% of women’s sales.
Thursday morning we flew to Rossland, Canada for a golf course design site visit at Red Mountain. The Golf Club at Red Mountain will be my first design in North America and it’s in collaboration with famed Canadian Golf Course Designer, Thomas McBroom. Red Mountain has over 4,000 acres of land for skiing which will be featured in the 2010 Winter Olympics.
Mike and I landed in British Columbia and Howard Katkov, the owner of the development, and Thomas picked us up. They
drove us around the lovely town and then took us for a helicopter ride
to view the property. It was breathtaking and had me itching to dust
off my skis. Being from a little town in Sweden, I’m pleased to work with these guys in this small ski town. It is a hidden gem and I look forward to sharing my passion for both golf and skiing with this project. After
reviewing the plans and meeting with some council members of the town,
we were back to the airport and off to San Diego for my photo shoot
with Cutter & Buck today. It has been raining all morning, but
it's clearing now, so I have to go. I'll check in before our flight
tonight to Australia.
Hey Annika,
I was wondering if you plan on increasing the number of events you play next year where you were unable to compete in many tournaments because of your injury this year? As a Canadian, I'm excited that you are co-designing a course in British Columbia with Thomas McBroom. Good luck in Australia!

Hi Annika & Mike,
Well you really are putting in some full days - but they sound very exciting and productive.
My family just got back tonight from their place in Reunion. They spent some fun time this past week with ANNIKA Academy's great staff, Pam & Christian. And the Callaway clubs that Charlotta fit and ordered got a good work out. The courses are terrific and the family looks forward to some private lessons with Charlotta in the next few weeks to make sure those clubs keep working. Safe travels and enjoy the camaraderie at the Lexus Cup. You have a great group!

I love your Cutter and Buck line, but my usual xl is cut to tight for a decent golf swing. Will you please pass the word? Thanks. Good luck at the Lexus Cup!!

Have to agee with Dharma that the sizes for tops in the C&B line are running smaller than we're used to . . . auh well??

I understand ladies. I think it's just the styles now. The slimmer "Euro" look is in so I think all cuts are slightly smaller. The same is true with guys shirts, especially the sleeve lengths.

OK on the Euro-look cut to fashion. Looks like I'll just get the chance to develop a Euro-look body!!
Now that's gonna be fun!!
