I wanted to wish everybody a Happy Thanksgiving. This is a time to be thankful for life and what it brings. I am very fortunate to be surrounded by friends and loved ones. I am thankful to be living my dream. Golf has taken me all around the world and introduced me to many wonderful people. The memories have enriched my life and I feel very lucky. Enjoy this holiday weekend.
I love the turkey day - hope you had a great one!

Happy Thanksgiving Annika--I was with my parents today and my dad watches The Golf Channel. He told me that you had a herniated disc and were back on tour. I was diagnosed with a slight herniated disc one month ago. I am wondering if you would share the name of the person/place where you had rehabilitation, if you are permitted to share the information. I am also wondering which disc you injured (if you don't mind sharing that, I understand if you want to keep that private). Mine is between the L2-L3 which I am told is less common than the lower discs. I'm at the information gathering stage with this, since it is all new to me. I've never had any back problems before I turned 40 this year :) I would appreciate any information you can share, and I'm hopeful that this will improve when I heard that you were able to return to golf so quickly. Your story inspired me, thank you!

Here is answer to kathinmtpsc. We are in the permit stages with Patriots Point. I agree with you, it needs a face lift. We have great ideas and I can't wait to get going on this project. It's in a great location and it has lots of potential.

Dana,
I am sorry to hear about your disc problems. It's not a fun thing!! I worked with some therapists in Melbourne, Florida. It took a lot of hard work and consistent rehab sessions. I feel great now and I am back to my full training schedule. I wish you the best.

Annika, around this time last year, you were in Florida (Orlando, I believe) doing a photo shoot for Callaway. I knew a girl who worked in the shooting and asked her if she had the opportunity to give you the message that being a big fan of yours I named a kitten we rescued 'Annika'. I don't think she got to give the message to you directly but maybe through one of your staffs. So here we are a year later and Annika grew up to be the cutest, spunkiest black and white cat.

Hope you had a wonderful Thanksgiving. I will certainly keep posting my comments and thoughts. I enjoy watching "ANNIKA TV," especially where you are shown away from the course - like the one where you "sliced" your arrow! Very funny commentary. Put more of these type on the blog. It's fun for us to see you in these situations, as opposed to always watching you go fairway/green/birdie!! :-)
Incidentally, and I'm sure you don't remember most people since you meet so many, but I got my photo taken with you during a practice round when the Samsung was at Rush Creek ('99) and I had you sign it just after you arrived for the Solheim - as you and your ex were walking on the cart path alongside the driving range (Interlachen completely renovated the range, by the way - much better now). Just a little FYI!

Another reason to be thankful...Arkansas just beat LSU...the Buckeyes still have a shot at playing for the National Championship!! :)

Quick good luck at the Lexus Cup! And wondering what you think of my idea of setting up an off-year international match-play event featuring the winning and losing teams of the Solheim and Kyoraku Cups facing off against each other.

Annika,
Have you ever considered doing Celebrity Apprentice, LPGA style? You would rock as the female Donald Trump (much cuter). Get 12 eager beavers to compete and see who can conduct the most productive business out on the golf course. :)
I'm excited about the team you put together for the Lexus Cup, it should be a great show. Good Luck!
