Annika,
There is a rumor that LPGA tour Commissioner Carolyn Bivens will grant Michelle Wie a 2008 LPGA tour card, bypassing q-school.
Any truth to that rumor and would you be in favor of granting Michelle Wie a 2008 LPGA tour card?
Thanks

hey this blog is pretty sweet.

Hi Annika,
This is so much fun. I had no idea you were doing this today and just came to your blog for the first time via LPGA.com. I will be coming to your academy soon and am beyond excited. I have been called a golf evangelist by my best friends husband because I love the game so much. Can't wait to meet you if your're there.
Posted by: andi | November 14, 2007 at 05:08 PM
Hey John. I have not heard that one yet. The last I heard she was studying at Stanford.
Posted by: Annika | November 14, 2007 at 05:09 PM
Thanks Matt. I appreciate that.
Posted by: Annika | November 14, 2007 at 05:09 PM
Andi...I look forward to seeing you at my Academy. We are very proud of our facility and our team!

Who are you playing with tomorrow? All the best this week!
Posted by: Maria | November 14, 2007 at 05:12 PM
Hello Annika:
It has often been reported that you carefully track your golf statistics. Can you comment on what software you use?
Posted by: Lawrence | November 14, 2007 at 05:13 PM
Annika,
Congrats on the launch of your blog! How are you feeling this week?
Posted by: Bubs | November 14, 2007 at 05:13 PM
Hey Annika,
Great site. Good luck at the ADT, can't wait for 2008 season & you back on top!!

Annika, I have heard you mention your "brand." What exactly do you mean by "build your brand?"
Posted by: Jerry | November 14, 2007 at 05:15 PM
Welcome Buds. This is fun. I am feeling great- thanks.
Posted by: Annika | November 14, 2007 at 05:15 PM
Annika - it is great to see you playing well in the last few months!
Did you ever drink that champagne from St Andrews?
Posted by: Champagne Girl | November 14, 2007 at 05:16 PM
Maria - I am playing with Laura Diaz tomorrow. You should come and watch.
Posted by: Annika | November 14, 2007 at 05:16 PM
Lawrence,
Thanks a lot! I feel great and I'm excited about the week...great course, players, and of course prize!
Posted by: Annika | November 14, 2007 at 05:17 PM
Hi there. Glad to hear from you Champagne Girl. Of course I enjoyed the bottle from St Andrews. Hope all is well with you.
Posted by: Annika | November 14, 2007 at 05:18 PM
ya really 1 million dollars if you win that would be pretty sweet.
Posted by: Matt | November 14, 2007 at 05:18 PM
Jerry, great question!
In order to have a genuine brand, you must consistently deliver a promise that is genuine and distinct in people's minds. I try to deliver the promise of "inspirational experiences" through all of my businesses. I hope that makes sense.
Posted by: Annika | November 14, 2007 at 05:19 PM
Rachael, Glad that you have joined the blog. I look forward to 2008. Keep your fingers crossed!!
Posted by: Annika | November 14, 2007 at 05:20 PM
Knowing how competitive you and Tiger are, and being that he has his own little cub now, are there future plans for a little Annika (or Mike)?
Posted by: AB | November 14, 2007 at 05:20 PM
Annika,
What do you think it will take to win the ADT? 10-15 under?
Posted by: Rachael | November 14, 2007 at 05:21 PM
Everything good here - just wish I could see you play in person more often.
I hope I need to get the champers ready for Sunningdale next year! I think it will be a good year for you!
Posted by: Champagne Girl | November 14, 2007 at 05:21 PM
Wow...sounds like you know what your talking about. Good luck with everything!
Posted by: Jerry | November 14, 2007 at 05:21 PM
I know, the one million dollar firstprize is sweet.
Posted by: Annika | November 14, 2007 at 05:21 PM
I would love to win at Sunningdale next year !! See you there. Take care.
Posted by: Annika | November 14, 2007 at 05:23 PM
It really depends on the weather...it's a tough golf course, though it's in great shape. Also, since we're starting from scratch on Saturday and Sunday, anything could happen.
Posted by: Annika | November 14, 2007 at 05:23 PM
AB - Mike and I have plans to start a family, but not yet. I am focusing on my golf next year and want to get back to the top.
Posted by: Annika | November 14, 2007 at 05:25 PM
Hi Annika,
Great website. What do you think of the LPGA's policy following the PGA Tour's policy of drug testing?
Posted by: Diane | November 14, 2007 at 05:25 PM
Annika when is the next time you plan to play in the Canadian Womens Open. Because i would like to go to that tournaent one day(being from Canada).
Posted by: Matt | November 14, 2007 at 05:26 PM
Matt...I plan on playing Canada next year. The past couple years it has conflicted with the LET tournament that I host in Sweden.
Posted by: Annika | November 14, 2007 at 05:28 PM
Diane - the LPGA is very commited to the new drug policy. As a matter of fact, I am on the board and I am proud to see the LPGA take a stand on this issue.
Posted by: Annika | November 14, 2007 at 05:29 PM
I agree i think that drug policy is a good idea basicly all sports have it i think.
Posted by: Matt | November 14, 2007 at 05:31 PM
OK...good luck this week. Is this your last tournament?
Posted by: Maxwell | November 14, 2007 at 05:31 PM
Thanks. Actually I play in Australia in a couple weeks for the Lexus Cup. I captain the world team Vs. Se Ri and the Asian team. Should be fun! Then the next week I defend in Dubai.
Posted by: Annika | November 14, 2007 at 05:33 PM
Annika,
I heard you have started a foundation - what is that all about?
Posted by: Maria | November 14, 2007 at 05:34 PM
NÄr spelar du i SVerige nästa gång?
Jag vill gärna se dig spela 2008
Posted by: Lisa | November 14, 2007 at 05:36 PM
Hey Maria...I'm glad you asked! The ANNIKA Foundation was started this year as a way for me to give back. I followed my dreams as a little girl in Sweden and I've accomplished more than I ever thought possible. I want to help children and grow and follow their dreams. If that includes golf...even better!
Posted by: Annika | November 14, 2007 at 05:36 PM
Spelar min tävling i augusti. Det ser jag fram emot! Vi ses

Thank you Annika for giving up your time!
Posted by: Champagne Girl | November 14, 2007 at 05:45 PM
Glad to see the q/a session on the site but unfortunately I didn't see any link when I got it up.
I wanted to know if Annika ever tried to mark her ball with a line as some others do as to improve their direction with putts.
Posted by: sidterry | November 14, 2007 at 07:15 PM
Annika,
I think Michelle Wie is a great person. She signed my hat and was really friendly. Do you like her?
Posted by: Dave | November 14, 2007 at 09:32 PM
Hi Annika,
How do you think about making swing changes? What is the trick to make it permanent? I am working on my backswing plane but can't seem to get it just right. I check it over and over again in the mirror and make a lot of rehearsels before I swing.
