It's Friday evening and it has been several hours since I left Trump International Golf Club. I have had some time to reflect on today's round and playoff. I am very disappointed that I didn't make the weekend. I feel like my game is finally coming around and I was looking forward to a good tournament. This event is a hightlight of the year and I have so many fun memories from the previous years. Oh well, I just have to practice harder and get ready for the next one...

I am disappointed too but not with you. I have been a fan of yours since 1995 and I know you always do your best. I consider myself priveleged to have watch your consistent excellence in the world of golf over the years. I have no doubt your come back in the coming year will be very special and perhaps even greater than what you have already accomplished.

Hi Annika, you will come back, i will hold my thumbs for you.
Greetings from sweden. See you in barsebäck

Hi Annika
I love your attitude. I was riding each and every one of your putts in the playoff. Got up at 5am (I live in Cairns, Australia) to watch the exciting event. I felt for you when you had to do the press interview right after losing in the playoff..Man how do you do that. I could see you were seething, but you held yourself high and proud. Its a lesson to all (why do lessons have to be so hard!). I look forward to watching you play in real life in Perth next month.

Tråkigt, tråkigt men du är och förblir bäst ändå ! Ser fram mot att se dig vinna ADT nästa år !

You are still my idol of golf!!!Looking forward to a great season in 2008!!!

If there is one thing that I know from traveling to watch you the past 12 years it's that your mental fortitude is better than any other player in the game. When all the elements of Vision 54 are working in concert you are unstoppable! You have given my mom and me new places to go and beautiful golf courses to see while cheering you on. Thanks for the memories. See you in '08!

Hi Annika,
So maybe you are not playing this weekend. But overall 2007 is a winning year in more ways than one. Congratulations on your many accomplishments. I'm sure that your cats are not disappointed that you are home early this weekend. You'll have more time to spend with them!

Hi Annika,
Wow this is cool, thanks for responding to my comment yesterday! I've always wondered about something and if you have time would love to hear your thoughts...
Repoters are constantly asking you about chasing Whitworth's winning record. Do you ever wish they would ask more about your winning percentage? You win 25% of the tournaments you enter! I'm not sure but I would bet that the only other golfer in history in that category is Tiger. Good luck in Australia and Dubai!

Oops..REPORTERS not repoters

You are an amazing person and It is fun to watch you play even when you aren't at the top of your game. I am looking forward to 2008 and know that it is going to be an amazing year with many wins for you! Time to break some more records :). I don't know if you watch football, but you should be really happy, your wildcats knocked of my #2 rankked Ducks over the weekend :(. Well, Have a wonderful Holiday Season! Tiffany

Hi Annika,
I was really hoping that you would be one of the players to make it through the playoff. I was sad that you did not but thanks for agreeing to the interview after. I have been a fan of yours for years and I will continue to cheer for you. Don't let this year get you down because a lot of good things have happened to you outside golf. I hope you play well in Dubai and Australia! Best wishes to you and Mike!

Hej Annika
Synd att du inte är med i slutspelet. Men du kommer igen 2008 och spelar ut småtjejerna.
Du är bara bäst.

Annika,
I have always admired your game. I don't know how you make it look so easy as your swing seems so effortless! With the amount of events you played this year, you should feel good about where your game is and I'll bet that you cannot wait for next season :-)
Posted by: Heidi | November 18, 2007 at 07:10 AM
Annika, I'm sure your game is finally getting together, it's always tough to come back from an injury especially when you're used to being at the top... Anyways, hope to see you next year at Bosque Real, it's definitively closer from home than St. Andrews LOL!
Greetings from Mexico.

I think you are the greatest. I never watched the LPGA until I saw you win the u.s. open... I was hooked. So much so that I talked my husband into taking me to Palm Desert to see you in 2005
Unfortunatly i got sick and wasn't able to stay
and get your autograph, so I really hope you will be there next year and I'll talk him into
going again even though we live about 1000 miles away. Enjoy the holidays and will be so
looking forward to watching you next year.

Annika--know that you inspire so many people in so many ways.
I'm the guy from Round 2 (Mobile) that rode in the cart from the parking lot with you and your fiancee (and you signed a golfball for me). I said it then and I'll say it again... "YOU are the reason I went from casual golfer to avid golfer." I followed you through your whole warm up routine and walked the entire 18 holes during the second round in Mobile, AL and I will tell you that that was the best golf I've ever seen in my life (and I've watched the best PGA players in person at the WGC at Firestone).
You were my inspiration to take up this incredible game and are my inspiration to progress. It was during Colonial! I used to shoot 100+ and set a goal to break 90 consistently. I'm now a 8 handicap and just placed second in our Club Championship this weekend. I credit my performance to many of the things I observed during your warm-up routine and play during that I observed on Friday, 16 Nov.
Bottom line... I strongly value your talent, class, and pursuit of excellence. ALWAYS KNOW THAT YOU INSPIRE PEOPLE BEYOND WHAT YOU COULD EVER IMAGINE.
My life philosophy is: Create "WOW!" Memories, because regreat is a useless emotion. Thanks for an incredible "WOW!" Memory in Mobile--it is a day I will always remember!
Best wishes, Wayne

Hi Annika,
My friend Cherry and I are great followers of your career (at British Opens; the Solheim Cup; the ADT; as well as on the TV; and all too frequently, via the LPGA Real Time Scoring) and we agonised with your every shot at the ADT - seems you handle the pressure better than we do! Having travelled out from the UK specifically for the ADT, we were so relieved when you qualified; and despite the eventual disappointment, it was still a privilege to be able to see you playing some really great golf. Thank you for the pleasure you give all your fans and for the example you set in the impeccable way you conduct yourself at all times. We will be keeping an eye on the Lexus Cup and on Dubai - and of course we wish you success in both.

Hi Annika,
Just to add to my friend Margaret's comments - which I fully endorse - I wanted to thank you for the autographs you have signed for me so willingly over the past 6 years; and especially for taking time out to pose with me for a couple of photos (they hold pride of place at home). Thank you also for the signed golf ball you gave me at the ADT Pro Am; it is a much prized possession and thankfully travelled safely back to the UK. All of these items remind me of the pleasure and inspiration I get from watching you on the golf course. All the best for the rest of the season and beyond.
