Greetings....My name is Mike McGee and as a member of Annika's team, I will be checking in from time to time. As always, I enjoyed watching Annika play today. It's inspiring to see her in action and the positive impact she has on her fans. I noticed lots of shirts in her gallery from the ANNIKA Collection and even saw a couple ANNIKA Academy hats! I felt for her as it was one of those days where things don't quite go as planned. She hit some great shots and putted well, but also put three in the water (saving bogey each time). Tomorrow is another day...that's the beauty of this crazy game!
She's great! I hope she plays well tomorrow.

annikablog is a FANTASTIC way of giving us a fans a way to express great love, appreciation and respect to Annika since often times in signing autographs for us, she doesn't "look up" to see such in our eyes and faces.
Look up, we're on your team just like your "other" team!!
I love hearing from the "others". It's just cool getting a sense of their passion for life.

Thanks for the comments Golf54deciple. I would say Mr. Palmer and Mickelson are the best superstars at making eye contact. Most are taught not to look up due to security reasons. However, you bring up a valid point. Thanks for the support of Annika!

Annika,
You're probably still at lunch (hopefully) waiting for the playoff, and I'm reminded of the interview with Mike Rolfing after you won the 2006 US Womens Open and you said you reminded yourself to "play your game, it's GOOD ENOUGH".
See ya tomorrow!

Bummer. I admit, I'm in tears . . . looks like we won't get to see the fullness of outcome of your courgage to recover and play at the comptetitive level we're used to seeing, but will keep checking in to send encouraging words no mater what.

What a bummer. Like you said, you'll get over it. I am sure 2008 will be great for you. We love you here in Melbourne, Australia, too!!!!

Annika,
We came to the event yesterday to watch you play and were so honored when you stopped to sign a hat for us. You are such an inspiration and have done so much for women's golf we just want to say thank you.
We know you must be disappointed with not making the cut today, but you will never disappoint these loyal fans. You are a great lady and we will continue to cheer you on in the future.

Thanks to all of you for your support. Annika's at home now after another different day on the course. She started three under after six, but made quadruple bogey at seven. She still hung in there nicely, but fell short in the playoff with Natalie and Ai, two of the LPGA's nicer players. This was a pretty big dissapointment for her....but as they say, "The lows only make the highs higher." This will be added motivation for 2008. As for tomorrow, GO BUCKEYES!!

It was so exciting watching you play and play well. Can't wait for 2008 season, I know you will be on top again. No matter who claims to be the world's best golfer, you are still No. 1 to me.

Hi Mike
A great post!
Reading it reminded me about a conversation we had about purchasing the Annika Accademy Hat. Are there plans for these to be put on sale online?
Best wishes to you and Annika.

Have spent everyday since the blog was activated checking it out and one thing I love is hearing about some of the endeavors of the Team like how Terry has a hand, errr, a "hip" in developing the HUG technology for the SUN Mountain carry bag.
I'd seen an ad a few months ago and now it's been on the market for a couple of months. My only deal was to figure out which color to get, was already "sold' on it, but now finding out that Terry had a hand in it, THE ISSUE is SETTLED!!
Looking forward to getting my bag, and off I go!!

Annika;
I am a great fan and watch you on television every chance I get. I am eager to see you play live and in person. I am from Canada, and wondering if you will be playing in this year's Canadian Open?
