The first round here in Dubai is under my belt and I played pretty well. I made five birdies, including my last two holes which is always nice. I just need to eliminate the bogies today and I’ll be happy.
After the round, Mike, Terry, and I went to a place called Bab Al Shams. We drove one hour out into the desert and this place is virtually hidden amongst the sand dunes. It was designed in a traditional Arabic fort setting with an open-air desert restaurant, and a superb range of recreational facilities. First we relaxed by the pool…for about five minutes…and then we joined the action. We rode camels (video to come at a later date), Arabian horses, and I even held a Falcon. Then we had an elaborate feast in the desert oasis with live entertainment, which included “belly dancers.”
It’s really fun to be able to travel and experience the different cultures around the world! Well, time to go to the office.
Annika,
They showed a few clips of the tourny on ESPN and we saw an approach shot that landed softly on the green and for all intents and purposes should have rolled in. Man!! With those types of shots falling and like you said, saving a few more pars, the scoring machine will be cranked up once again.
Anyway, also looking forward to video of camel rides and what-have-you; especially of Terry. That should be fun?? or Funny???

Allt gott!

Hi Annika,
Do you have plan to launch the golf book like you did on the "Golf Annika's Ways"? If so, when ? I will be waiting till then. Good luck and have great fun in Dubai.
Cheers!

Steve, I have no plans yet to open an Academy here in Dubai. I love it here and I would love the opportunity.

Oraya, I am not sure I understand your question. Golf Annika's way is my golf / instrucktion book.

Hi Annika,
Glad to see you are in a pairing that you are very much accustomed to - the last one! We just got back from Reunion on Saturday and had a very productive 3 hour session with Charlotta on Tuesday. Really enjoyed her company and met Henri for the first time. Good luck and good golf Annika and a safe return home to all.

Annika the Cat, Glad to hear you had a good session with Lotta. Will you give me strokes next time you attend the Academy?
Posted by: Annika | December 15, 2007 at 10:57 PM
Of course I will give you strokes. I will check with my coach, Lotta, and see what she recommends.

It was a rare sad day for my alma mater yesterday's football team yesterday. Mount Union lost in their bid to make it 10 National Championships in the last 15 years. The lost also stopped the Division III Dynasty's 37 game winning streak!!

Mike,
Sorry about your team - Annika's win I'm sure took the pain away!

Mike,
What position did you play on Mount Union's football team. Did you win any national championships?

Mike & Annika:
Want to say congrats to both of you on your engagement and also for the win in Dubai. Mike, I talked to you Dad Friday and he said you would be home over the holiday for a couple of days; hope to see you around big ol' EP.
Happy Holidays,
Patti
