Hi All. Christian checking in to see what's been going on here at annikablog.com. I wanted to share a little something about the club fitting we offer to all of our guests.
Here at the ANNIKA Academy we are very pleased to be able to offer club fitting using Callaway Golfs C-PAS System. C-PAS stands for Callaway Performance Analysis System and trust me it is exactly that! Not only do we learn exactly which clubs are right for our guest, we learn a lot about their golf swing by putting them through club fitting. We are very lucky to be able to offer such an in depth club fit to our guest and we truly appreciate our partnership with Callaway Golf.
To get to the point of this post. Yesterday I received an e-mail from a past guest and thought I would share some of it. Sue came to the Academy in early October and had a set of Callaway X-20 irons with Ladies flex shafts and a standard lie. After our hour in the club fit room we discovered that Sue should be in a light flex shaft and her that the lie of her golf clubs should be bent two degrees upright based on the way she swung the golf club. So Sue left the Academy and went to get her clubs repaired to the specifications that we gave her at the Academy. This was her reaction via e-mail:
I got my clubs back from Callaway two weeks ago and I can't tell you what a difference there is Bending
them 2 degrees upright has really helped me out. I don't work anywhere
near as hard to keep the ball online. It's amazing!!
Having clubs that fit ones golf swing is such an important part of golf and gives a player such an advantage over someone that has not been fit. As I talked about before we love hearing back from past guests especially with stories of such great success! Its a good feeling to know that you've really helped someone
improve their golf game.

Christian, do most club fittings take one hour? Are they included in all Academy packages?

Christian, thanks for the insight. I agree with you, club fitting is very important. I went to the Callaway center in Carlsbad a few years ago and my game has gotten much better. You Academy sounds great - I think I should make a trip and see you guys.

Mark yes we spend an hour with each of our guests in our C-PAS room. I think it is great what we can learn about a guests swing. For example we have a lot of guests that believe that because the ball is starting left they are coming over the top. Well sometimes they are swinging down the path we would like with a closed club face and that is the reason the ball shoots left. What this tells us is that the guest may have a better swing then they originally thought!
Julie, those guys out in Carlsbad do a great job club fitting. It is just very thorough and like I say it can only help your game. You should come see us! We'd be happy to have you as a friend for life. :)

Dear Annika and team,
I came to your academy in Oct.2006 It has changed my game 100% for the better. I am a more consistant ball striker, my handicap is coming down. Also my fitness has improved by just adding what Kai showed us. It was a win win situation for me. I'm thrilled that I was there. Thanks again. Have a blessed 2008 season. I'll be watching.

I have a ruptured disc in my neck and have not played for 3 months. Did Annika make any swing changes because of her neck injury to make it less stress full on her neck during her swing.
