Hello everyone, this is Christian checking in once again. I hope all of the annikablog.com readers had a great holiday and are enjoying 2008.
With the fall season over, we have moved into our winter/spring season here at the ANNIKA Academy. Already this year we have some exciting things happening. The first is we have a new Director of Sales, Michelle McGee, who started working with us at the beginning of January. She came to us after working with the Oakland Raiders in their ticket sales department. We are very happy to have Michelle as part of the Academy team and I'm sure she will be participating on annikablog.com in 2008.
Last weekend we were visited by Troy Tanner of the Back Nine Radio Network. Troy runs a show that broadcast across the most of western Florida and is available worldwide over the Internet. Each member of the Academy team was interviewed and it was a great experience for us all. Of course Troy was very interested in how Kai and Henri were preparing Annika for the upcoming LPGA Season. Charlotta received questions on the LPGA and her experience with life on the road. Pam and I fielded questions on Academy packages as well as club fitting and our experience working for Annika. Thank you Troy for taking the time to visit us at the ANNIKA Academy, we very much enjoyed it.
I wanted to mention one of the most amazing rounds of golf that I've ever seen. Just before the holiday we had a group in for a Soren-Slam package in which our guests play with Annika. Well fresh off her win in Dubai on Sunday and 30 hours of traveling, Annika managed to shoot a 61 on the Arnold Palmer course here at Reunion Resort. I'm sure that Annika would downplay the 61, but I know the guests and I were very impressed.
This is the first Academy post of the year so we want to wish a Happy New Year to everyone. If your resolution is to improve your golf game this year please give us a call and we will find the ANNIKA Academy package that will help you to reach your goals!
Christian,
Thnx for the update and congrats to Michelle for joining your team.
The visit from the Back Nine Radio crew sounds interesting and yes we too are wondering about the evolution of a new & different training & nutritian for Annika.
61 !! A 61 is a 61 no matter the course, but after an exillerating finish at Dubai AND 30hrs travel??? W o W!!
Annika is going to be doing something this year none of us have ever seen and I'm talking about on the course in this case!!

Hi Christian,
The ANNIKA Academy team has certainly hit the ground running as the New Year begins. It's exciting news that you are sharing. I have no doubt that the programs that will be coming up offer players of all levels a chance to improve their game and have a whole lot of fun while doing it. I look forward to being one of those players.
And thanks for sharing that round of 61 that Annika shot. Annika knows how to let the clubs do the talking. She seems to always be looking towards the horizon in a very constructive way. We are all fortunate that she is sharing so much of her progress and thoughts here on this blog.
Check your calendar for February 28 & talk to Pam!
See you soon.

Golf54disciple and Annika the Cat.... thanks for your comments. We have hit the ground running around here and are working hard again. The 61 was truly impressive, Annika has such great distance control. If she misses a shot offline she never really has too long a putt due to the fact she always has the right yardage.
My social calendar is very empty so Feb. 28 sounds like fun!

Golf54disciple. I fully agree that this should be a big year. I know she has been working hard with Kai and hitting a lot of balls. It will be fun to watch out there.

Hello Ms Annika
I can hardly wait for you to get started this year!!!! They all better look out this year...especially that Ochoa girl....she's pretty good....but she has a long way to go to be as good as Annika. I think a lot people who talked trash about you last year will eat those words this year. A gurl can't even have a a off year due to injury without being washed up. The first time you played last year I knew there was something wrong...and it wasnt that you were just having an off swing day...your swing, your tempo, your body alignment, your facial expression...just everything was different...but I knew it would return!!! I have been watching and following you since your college days and have taken a many of steps with you...so I could tell there was something seriously wrong...and it really pissed me off that the golf world and the media world were writing you off as a hasbeen without any consideration of what was really going on with you...all they could see was you did'nt have your A game...saying your best days were behind you...BUT YOUR TRUE REAL FANS they never traded you in at all!!!!! and if you ever are in Pine Needles area...want to play a round with your oldest, faithfullest biggest fan...you should look me up. Thanks for taking the time to read....thanks for having a web site were your fans can talk to you and see what's going on in your world. Thanks a lot!!!!!!!!!!!!!
your biggest fan
