It is Tuesday morning and I am back home in Orlando. It has been over a day since I won the Stanford International Pro Am, and I have had time to reflect on my latest victory.
It was a hard fought one, but sweet nonetheless. Paula played very well and when playoffs are needed to determine a winner – anything can happen. I love the challenge, along with the drama and excitement that those situations involve. It is the adrenaline that pumps in the body that motivates me stay competitive against the “younger” players. I am very pleased with my season thus far.
I am glad to be playing very consistently and to have been in contention in most of the events so far. My schedule the next few months is very busy, so I am going to relax and enjoy this week.

Annika, you deserve a week of relaxation after such a wonderful week of golf. We loved seeing that spring in your step, the quiet confident smile and the thumbs up victory sign. Only you know how hard you have had to work over the past year to get yourself back to this position. Sometimes it can be a hard and lonely road. We were glad that Mike and your parents got to see your victory in person. So, rest up. Spend some time with your friends at the Academy, and get ready to challenge the field at Kingsmill. We are very happy for you.

Saw a great shot of you lifting the trophy - congratulations! I'm sure it was especially rewarding to have your parents in the gallery cheering you on. They have two amazing daughters. You should enjoy the win wholeheartedly and rest up this week - you deserve it!

Forgot to mention above that the group picture is great. Your folks look well.
Pretty cool to be adding another sister (Michelle) to the family don't you think?

Annika-My girls and I are so excited to see you smiling on camera and hoisting the winners trophy again! We have only been able to see you in person once, at the 2002 U.S. Womens Open at Prairie Dunes Golf Club in Hutchinson, Kansas. Juli Inkster won that year but we were there to see you and followed you on every hole. What an experience!! You have been and always will be "The Queen of Golf" and an inspiration to my girls and I. You are still THE BEST!!! Enjoy those wins and keep smiling!

Annika, My husband and I were so happy to be in attendance at Kingmill to see you in person do what you do so fantastically. I have been a fan of yours for many years now and was so ecstatic to see you in person, especially now that you have decided this is your last year of play. Thanks for the autograph by the way. I will treasure it forever! I wish you all the best in your future plans. You surly deserve all that life has to offer. You certainly will always be my number one in the LPGA!!
By the way, I know you have changed putters, can you sharewith me what you are using now?
Looking forward to watching you continue to win throughout this year and seeing your beautiful smile as each one comes along.
Many best wishes, Patti
