Celebration...
What a week!! I am so happy to claim my third victory of the year and my 72nd on the LPGA. I have always enjoyed playing here at Kingsmill and always hoped for some good results. It took me five tries to finally figure out this course. I had my irons really dialed in on the back nine and managed to break the tournament record at 19 under. The tournament has had some great champions and I really wanted to join that special group. It's time to celebrate with a Michelob Ultra.
Way to go Annika! You've earned that Michelob!

Annika, CONGRATULATIONS on win no. 72, no. 3 this year and your 2nd straight! Kudos also on taking over 1st place on the money list (if my math is correct) by $318! More and more, this is shaping up as one of the all-time greatest years for the LPGA. You're on a roll now--keep it going!

Thank you, Janet. It was such a thrill!

Hi Annika -
Watching you play such good golf today was well worth missing my cat naps. Catnip, favorite treats and toys are among my favorite things and now I can add this special win today - Congratulations from a very contented, proud cat!

Hi Paul, I wish your math was serving us correctly, but I am still trailing Lorena. I am thriving for that number one spot again. Thank you for the support!

Annika,
Wow! Congrats on a tremendous week! You were really dialed in all week long! I missed the live telecast but just finished watching the tournament on tape. What a great win- #89 by my count.
Enjoy this win and keep it going for next week.
All the best to you and Mike

Annika, Michelob is Howard's favorite beer! You are our favorite player. It can't get any better than that.
We were lucky enough to stay at Kingsmill last year. It is a lovely place. We can see why you like it so much. We'll have to go back because your picture will now be plastered all over the dining room walls. Maybe we'll play the River Course and re-live your tremendous victory all over again.
Did your parents get to watch you this week in person? We hope so.
Have a safe trip to NY/NJ. Annika The Cat promised to give me updates next week. Good Luck!

Hi Annika,
You signed my hat while at the pro am at the Ginn at Orlando, And I said if you could cut one stroke per round that it would change everything.. I just wanted to let you know that you are playing great... Keep up the good work!!

With your much improved putting you may not even need to play the longer shafted driver.
Too bad the Women's US Open isn't next week since your entire game looks Open ready.
Once again you're in striking distance of POY.

Annika. Congrats on your win at Kingsmill. I was there in person & followed you during your final 2 rounds. What a display of ball striking and putting we fans were privilidged to see. Seeing you receive your 72nd trophy was awesome & a highlight of sporting events attended. Hope next week is a repeat. All good wishes!!

Annika, I cancelled my game of golf to watch on TV you bringing home the trophy and it was worth it. Here in Australia we don't have the privilege of watching the event live and I have to be so careful not to turn on the news in case the results are announced. So happy for you and a great year ahead.

Annika, this is Janeen, the black woman that shows up from time to time and goes bonkers with every birdie... First off, CONGRATS on a beautiful win--so sweet to see you back in form after what I know was such a bad injury. Second, I just want to say THANKS--for all you have done for women's golf, for the way you have carried yourself on and off the course, AND for all the autographs you've given me over the many years I have followed you--I have kept them all, and always will. See you in Charleston. I'm still thinking about 58--are you?... Best wishes, Janeen

Hi Annika,
I just want to say what a joy it was to see you win today. I have recently started playing golf, and just recently started watching the LPGA. Your drives look so effortless. I am currently trying to work on drive just like that (of course it take lots practice).
I really appreciate what you have done for the game of women's golf. What an awesome job with the win!

(And of course, here's to wishing a Happy Mother's Day today to your Mom and all the Moms!

Sweet Sweet Sweet! What a fantastic tournament for you!
And we loved Mike spraying you with the Michelob.
Today was a tremendous day - #72 - #3 in 2008 - and 2 in a row!
I have to say that yesterday was my favorite. It was fantastic to see you go head to head with Lorena on day 3.
I really think you are an amazing athlete - and I believe that happy and healthy put you above all the rest.
Congrats Annika.
All the best in Jersey.

Hej Annika
WO...............OW!! The greatest ever, ever, ever!!!
I am booked into Kingsmill later in the summer, and now it is going to be fantastic, thinking what shot would Annika play here?
That is the greatest thing about the game of golf. If you very lucky, you can get to play with your heroes, in pro-ams, etc, or if not, at least play the courses, and think Annika made birdie here, etc. You don't get to do that in many other sports.

Annika,
Congrats on your dominating win. You continue to show that great things DO happen to great people. Way to quiet the critics who said you couldn't win with Lorena in the field. I wish you continued success.

Grattis Annika,
Jag har alltid trott att du skulle komma tillbaka i form (I've always believed you'd come back in shape).

Annika,
Well the corks are popping again in East Palestine, Ohio. We were so thrilled to watch you win again for the third time this season. Your play down the strech was fantastic !!! The rest of the year is really going to be fun to watch. You and Lorena (the two best players and classiest people) on the LPGA are really going to give golf fans a real treat. Congrats again and good luck this week.

Annika;
May the wins! continue to come and May God Bless you and keep you Healthy.
Notice Charlotta on stand by list for next tournament, My question is since she has been a champion in past, can't you just pay your entry fee and play?? How does the LPGA handle entries?
Thanks

Can't help but notice that you beat the other 3 of the top 4 players by a combined 38 strokes, awesome.

Sorry, I blew it with my money list comment-- Lorena is still on top (for now). Guess I need a new calculator. Anyway, the gap is narrowing. Go, Annika!

I'm a new fan of golf and I thought one day, "Oh rats! I get interested in this sport just when the number one woman in the whole world is winding down. I'll never get to see her play!"
So so glad that you have made a come back and are looking and feeling strong! You made us stand up and cheer yesterday! (even though we think that Lorena is a little doll and a great athlete too).

Congratulations, Annika. What a great final round to end a well played tournament.
I have to say - watching your game should be mandatory for any and all aspiring golfers, male or female.

I'm sorry to hear that your retiring from golf. I met you two years ago at the ADT Championship at Trump Intl. You were kind a gracious enough to take a photo with me.. I am a HUGE fan of yours... You will be sorely missed.. You have done sooo much to advance the LPGA and for that we thank you...
Best of luck to you in your future endeavor...
