Good evening and Happy Memorial Day everyone. This is a great day to remember and be thankful for our troops!
It is Monday night and we are settled into our place in Charleston, SC. The ANNIKA team is staying at the beautiful Belvidere, a Ginn Club Resort overlooking the bay. Charleston is a historical city that has a lot to offer….and this week it includes the LPGA. This is the 2nd annual GINN Tribute hosted by me, and we are happy to be back at RiverTowne Country Club. Once again we have one of the better fields of the year and we are excited to be competing for $2.6 Million! It is a great honor to host this event and I am excited to test my game here. Last year, this was my first tournament back from my injury and it was a tough week. Hopefully, things will be a little better this year!
I will keep you posted.

Hi Annika,
Right on about our blessed troops.
Glad to see you are all settled in and ready for a fun week.
GO ANNIKA & THE USA!

Amen. Thank you for remembering our troops! They are our true heroes.
Charleston is an amazingly beautiful city. Haven't played Belvidere, but played at Wild Dunes and Kiawah (plus Harbour Town). Wonderful part of the country.
Good luck this week. It would be nice to win your own tournament!! :)
And good for Leta Lindley!!

Glad you arrived in Charleston safely. It is such a great city. Sweetgrass baskets and carriage rides! You might want to think about taking the Annika Team to Hank's..our favorite Charleston restaurant. You will be a gracious host this week...but not too gracious as we would like to see you finish the week with the trophy in YOUR hands! Good Luck!
GO ANNIKA!!! Thanks for remembering our troops!

We sure missed you last week - Mike gave us an amazing snapshot of your New York day and your week "off"! Your entire blog team was tired.
Last week was just not the most exciting week on the LPGA tour - I did however learn a few new names and was thrilled to see Leta win her first tournament (we were routing for Erica).
All the best this week at your tournament - a gracious host indeed but Howard & Helen have it right - not too gracious - earn that trophy and money for yourself.
We'll be cheering loudly for you from Oakland!
Happy Memorial Day to all.

Hey Annika,
Enjoy Charleston and YOUR tournament! After a busy "week-off" you must be relieved to be working again :)

Annika, The Sybase Classic tournament lacked excitement without you playing. Good luck this week as Hostess at Charleston. Stay on top of the leaderboard and win #73.

Hi Annika,
Well the tournament hosted by Annika is finally here. I am sure seeing you top of leaderboard. I saw your interview on LPGA site.
Q. You're one of 14 players who have hosted a tournament on the LPGA. Only two of them have won their own tournament, though. What would it mean for you to win a tournament named after you?
ANNIKA SORENSTAM: Obviously that would be great. Does that mean you're a bad hostess?
The classic answer.
Good Luck this week and have fun.
GO ANNIKA!!!!!

Good luck, Annika. You're tanned, rested and ready!
It'd be really good to have the Ginn Tribute Hosted by Annika....WON by Annika.

Annika,Just wishing you well during your tournament this week, especially on the Golf Course. You are without a doubt the greatest women's golfer. Thanks so much for all you do for Women's Sports, Golf, and the future of the game. Hope your putter continues it's red hot winning ways.

Annika,
Followed your group yesterday and gosh it looked like your guys were having a blast!
They really were soaking in all that you & Terry offered as well they should and seemed like ALL of you had a great time making shots!!
But what a difference a year makes!! The handful of us that followed last year saw you start the return to health with "just playing 9 holes in a practice round", and so it began . . .
This year it seemed that "a calm & quiet assurance" has been added to the mix. True?
