Sybase Classic - Day Four
Annika is tied for seventh, five back heading into today's final round. Check out the action on ESPN2 and follow the tournament via the leaderboard (live scoring). As always, feel free to discuss the tournament in the comments section. Go Annika!

Sorry that this week's tournament outcome wasn't like we got to enjoy last week, so now you'll have time to refresh and get ready for your Tribute to Beth Daniel and your peers on tour at the Ginn Tribute.
I'll be preparing for the long drive from Denver to Charleston to pay TRIBUTE to YOU as a volunteer once again.
Looking forward to this opportunity to serve . . . see ya there.

See you in the Ginn Annika, it should be a great tournament for you! And if there are any trees out there you want me to take care of before it starts, let me know! :-) We'll be watching cheering you on!

Hi Annika,
I certainly enjoyed watching you play today and the company was great too. I know you would have liked to have been in contention. But as you have written to me before – Luckily there is a new week and a new tournament.
Glad to see that you were not eating any golf tees today.
And thanks for the water. Yes fellow bloggers – Annika noticed that Annika the Cat might be thirsty and took care of that after her one of her tee shots. She sure does take good care of her fans! Same treatment happens at The ANNIKA Academy too! Put it on your to do list!
GO ANNIKA!!

-1 today was a good finish for the tourney. You always conduct yourself as a true champion. Enjoy this week with the ladies raising $$ for breast cancer awareness; I understand it is the largest event in the country for Breast cancer - good for you!
Can't wait to see you compete in the Ginn!

Hej Annika,
I am the person whose friend asked for your autograph in the gym at Kingsmill. I was unable to drive down in the rain on Thursday, but how I wish I had had a crystal ball! I was shocked and saddened to learn of your retirement. As a fan I will miss seeing you both on and off the course. I lived in Stocksund for 3 years. I was a fan of yours before but after living in Sweden I felt even more passionate about the game and your mastery of it. I think Sweden is the best kept secret in Europe. I grew up in Fort worth so your participation in the Colonial was also special.
I understand your reasons for stepping away. I hope you find the happiness you deserve.

Hey Annika,
You deserve a week off after two good weeks. Best of luck at the Ginn Tribute!!

Annika,
Don't be disappointed in your golf game this week. After the first hole Sunday, your game was steady and you were so professional. The next tournament it yours for the winning. Have a good week off.

I agree with the above comment. I felt sadness when the announcer said that people came to see Annika play for the last time. I hope you teach other women to be as elegantly athletic, prinicpled and professional as you are...and as exciting to watch. So many people admire you! Be kind to your neck and play from your heart.

Well shucks...
I saw your frustration in your interview after today's round - to be 5 under after day one and then finish at 5 under is not the way you wanted to play...unfortunately it happens - glad you could stay in the top 11 and loved the way you finished with 3 birdies...
On to the next tournament - here's hoping the host takes home the trophy.

Annika,
This Sunday belonged to someone else but that is golf. You played well, had a great finish and we are all proud of you. You will always be number 1 for us.
Your 73rd will be on Sunday at the Ginn Tribute and 74th at the McDonald's LPGA!!! I know you can do it.

Helen, like Annika The Cat, knows how good Annika is to her fans. When Helen got drenched in that downpour at the Ginn, Annika was kind enough to give Helen her towel so she could stay warm and dry.
Sorry the weekend didn't go better, Annika, but next week is another tournament. The important thing is that you are in contention at every event. The victories will continue to come your way. It is a long season.
As for Annika The Cat's comments about the Academy, she couldn't be more right. Helen says that other than the birth of her three boys, and her marriage to Howard, her time at the Annika Academy was the best thing that ever happened to her! So,fans, give it a try.

I'm just excited to watch you play this year! Best of luck at the Ginn!

I agree with PinkDiva above, that is the correct way to look at this... I am also excited to watch Annika play this year! Have fun at the Ginn, Annika, and give em heck!
