And I loved seeing her throwing out the first pitch - just a bit outside - but she gave a great smile nonetheless ; )

Well, I really don't know where to begin. I don't think you have any idea what watching you perform on the golf course has meant to so many of us. You define the words grace and respect. It is both an honor and privelege to have been able to be a small part of your many successes. We have seen many of your tournaments and watched you win and lose. Each is done with equal grace. I couldn't be more supportive of your decision to step away. You can go forward knowing not only did you receive from golf and fans, but you gave us your all. The next journeys in your life will be as spectacular as the last 15 years have been. I had been a golfer in my 20's but stopped when my children came along. Watching you play inspired me to pick up the clubs again. While I am not that good, I enjoy being out and knocking the ball around a bit. My husband and I try to play at least once a month. Thanks for bringing golf back in our lives. We will see you on our 40th anniversary at the Ginn Open in South Carolina and hopefully another time or two this year. By the way just saw you are 5 under today!!!! Keep on astounding us girl!!!!

Lol...I cracked up at some of those last night, like the one about the presidential campaign. I think its sucked the life out of use all. I also wondered if Annika even watches The Hills. Lol. That one I laughed at cause I like that show. Anywho... Annika I wish you and Mike the best! I am so glad that you decided to leave on your own terms. That's the most important! You have had a wonderful career and it has been a pleasure growing up and watching you play! You have played with such great sportsmanship, and grace. Your a class act all the way, and you should know there will never be another like you!!! There may be greats come after you and throughout the years, but there will never be another ANNIKA!!! You've been the worthy opponent! You are the greatest! One of the greatest in the game and the greatest to your fans! I wish you all the happiness in the future with mike and in starting your family! You have nothing left to prove! Sad to see you go, and its sad for the women's game to loose such an awesome player, but THANK YOU for all the great memories and the GREAT GOLF!!

Annika I love you and your contribution to the game. I feel grateful to have watched you play several times now. I am a psychologist with some experience with athletes, and am very pleased you are choosing to retire on your own terms.
I would far rather have you retire at the top and happy, than to watch you burn out. Please stay public and share with your fans the ups and downs as you make this transition and beyond.
Great to see you at the top thisevening at Sybase. Give it all you've got baby, this year could be blistering! ;)
Best,
Dr. Julie
(if you want a mental golf game component at the Academy..... I'd be happy to volunteer!)
