Moving Day....

Good morning everyone.  It's Saturday and all is well here.  I appreciate all of your comments and support.  The fans have been AWESOME!!  They keep yelling positive things as I walk down the fairways.  There have also been endless compliments on the new bright colors in the ANNIKA Collection, so I would like to thank Cutter & Buck as well.

I love my position and feel very much in control of my game.  I will stick to my plan and I'm confident that the putts will drop.  I still think the weekend at the US Open is a whole new ballgame....and I am happy to be right in the mix!

Friday....

Good morning.  It's Friday and I am about to leave for the course.  It is a nice morning and I'm ready for a great day.  I played well yesterday for the most part.  I hit 14 greens but the putts wouldn't drop.  I had a nice practice session with Henri after the round and things should be better today.  There is a long way to go and the conditions will only get more difficult, so I'm not too concerned about the low scores yesterday. I have a plan and I'm sticking to it.  Thanks for all of your kind words and support!

Quick Update

                     4.  And we save the most exciting news for last...the USGA will provide complete coverage of Annika's threesome via  live video feed for Thursday's round.  The feed isnt available until 2:03pm EDT when they tee off.  A link to the feed will appear on the Thursday tournament post.

Practice Round...

Good Morning.  I am about to head to the range for my morning practice round.  Yesterday, I played in the afternoon and loved everything about the course.  I got home late, so Mike, Henri, Kristin, and Mark Steinberg (my agent) had a relaxing evening and enjoyed some pasta that Henri cooked.  The house where we are staying has an old "wood-burning" stove, so tonight we're going to try and make some pizza!  I'm not sure how it will taste, but it should make for some laughs!  We have Salmon as a backup. 

As for the course, I hadn't been on it since the Solheim Cup many years ago.  The USGA has done a wonderful job with the layout, setup, rough, green speeds, etc.  This course really fits my eye and suits my game.  I am looking forward to a fantastic week! 

US Women's Open....

Greetings from the biggest tournament we have, the US Women's Open.  We arrived Sunday night and settled into our house very near the course.  Yesterday, I had a Kraft "meet and greet" and a Cutter & Buck signing.  Then I practiced with Henri and Terry.  I never play practice rounds on Monday as I like to treat this as much like a "normal" event as I can....but it can be tough.  In an hour I have a luncheon with Merrill Lynch guests.  After that, I'll play my first practice round and focus on my game from here on out!

I will be blogging each day about my experiences.  I am really excited about my partnership with the USGA!  We look forward to working together to grow the game we all love.  For the first time ever, they will do a live podcast and show all 18 holes of my round Thursday.  Be sure to watch!  That's all for now.
