Annika the Cat

Hi Annika,

Yes, this is a bittersweet time for you. But there are many worthwhile challenges and rewarding times ahead.

So Pounce on Champ! Enjoy, play some good golf and you will be The Open Queen!

All paws crossed!

Hi Annika,
We are looking forward to following you at the Ricoh. We may not quite make the first tee at 7.25 (we have a 100 mile drive to get to Sunningdale) but we won't be far behind because we are leaving home at 5am! We hope you set the field a testing target - play your best. See you tomorrow.

Karen Ross

WOW...7:25 am tee time... it must be a good omen: don't they say "the early bird catches the worm"? :)
In your case I just hope you catch the birdies!

Good luck, enjoy your "last" major! (it is a little bit like one's wedding: you must enjoy every minute of it because it flies by!)

Marilyn

Good luck this weekend. I know you are focused and I believe good things will happen. I look forward to seeing you in the winners circle on Sunday. This is your time, sieze it! Can't wait to watch!!!!

Joyce

Annika,
Looking forward to watching you play this week (end). I have mentally pictured you taking the lead from day 1 and going wire to wire all through Sunday. Picture it, you can do it. Good luck. Think birdies, birdies, birdies, eagles.....

Jan

All the gals in South Texas are pulling for you. Go get that Open Win!

Peg

Annika,
The last Major make it memorable one. You can do it. HAVE FUN and bring home the trophy!!!!
Go annika!!!!

Shauna

Best of luck this week!! I'll know you will be great!!

It's a bittersweet time for us all, but of course more so for Annika.

So for this week I say may as well cross the wiskas on our furry little chins as well!

Hey, not the best of starts this morning, 2 over after 5 but I know you'll turn the round around.

Best wishes for a great last? British Open.

As always, pints are on me if you happen to visit Örebro.

Cheers
Peter

I know you are disappointed with your even par scoring today, but there are still 3 days of play, anything can happen (as you well know!!!!) Keep plugging away and play YOUR game. It will always be a thing of beauty for us fans to watch and try to emulate. Your mindset is one of your best assets - use it to your advantage. Good luck over the weekend!

Jeanette Jones

Your even par round is not what you were shooting for but you have 3 more rounds to score. Hope those favorable conditions continue and your birdies keep hitting the bottom of the cup.Try not to place too much pressure on yourself. Just let it come to you. You are striking the ball well as you always do. Good luck in round 2.

Mike Wolfe

Congratulations on a wonderful career. Somehow I doubt it is over though! I liked your comment in an interview today about your "hitting the ball well". As you know, the positive mental aspect of the game is probably more important than the physical. Put that beautiful smile on and go have some fun. I would love to see you and Julie Inkster go one two this weekend! I am pretty sure we all will.

Best wishes.

Shauna

Don't worry about today. Save all your energy for the next three rounds and give everyone something to remember. No matter what happens your still number one with your fans!!:)
