Back to "work"

Img_0736 Annika_10012My three weeks off from competition is over. Where did the time go? It flew by as we enjoyed some time at home. I had a chance to recharge my batteries, which was much needed after seven straight weeks on the road in six different countries. During my time off I practiced, had a few sponsor outings, business meetings and some personal time. My best friend Maria came to visit from Sweden, which was great. We had a blast together, especially when we went "bridesmaid" shopping with my sister, Lotta and our friend Selena. Eventually, we found some beautiful dresses, which was exciting. We also had a chance to play some tennis. Please tune into the video gallery on my blog. As you can see, I am a little rusty, but with some practice I am optimistic that I will rediscover the game I had in my youth.  However, the game that I am relying on now is my golf game. The LPGA is in beautiful Half Moon Bay in Northern California this week. It's a select field of the top 20 players in the world. I am excited to be here and ready to get back to the winner's circle.

Annika "BIG A",

Donna's Thoughts

Your going to win!

Wow, what beautiful pictures!! It's nice that someone so beautiful on the inside is also so beautiful on the outside.
Good luck this week in Ca. we'll be watching and cheering you on. Positive thoughts are coming your way!! Connie

Tennis and golf are unusually difficult to crosstrain; still from running swings. If the tennis is..rusty, recovering more than the game of youth may be in the offing. Really good form. The west coast as different as is from the east, is as susceptible to good form. Pretty hard to overthink your golf game, it's such an intellectual pursuit.

What a relief to get to see you play again, Annika! Best wishes at Half Moon Bay. I also enjoy tennis, and played a little (very little!) My fave is also Roger Federer, what a class act! I'm glad you enjoyed your time off.
