The score, after the first two rounds of the 2008 Lexus Cup is 6-6, all square. If the first two days are any indication, today's action is sure to be a barnburner. If you haven't had a chance yet, check out Mike's post directly below this one - it's clear something very special is taking place on the other side of the world.
You can follow the scoring (live) here and, as always, discuss the tournament in the comment section.
You can find final round singles matches here (thanks again Peg!).
And, to answer Golf54Deciple's question, why, yes, there ARE more pictures...take a look! (we always add the new photos to the end of the slideshow so the continuity of day one, two, three is preserved)
Thrilling. Often the measure of your up for/to, as its intention. Seeing the better of it then day two. All the best.

Seon Hwa Lee said she wasn't feeling well yesterday in a Golf Channel article. I notice she's in the last pairing. Relevant? Or maybe they stopped for lunch, or an Annika Tribute!

Oh dear, they updated, now Asia is 5-4. Oh well, no matter, Annika's team will pull through!

Susie,
Don't forget, ANNIKA is defending in a couple at the Dubai Ladies Masters and they are prepared to send her off in BIG-TME STYLE.
See: http://wwww.ladieseuropeantour.com (looks like they'll be following tracking. live-scoring for us)
From last years' posts, they really love that city/area so how fitting to be finishing up there?!
Meanwhile, she, Mike and Terry get a little time to get their internal clocks set back to EST. Gosh they have been putting in the air miles . . .

What an exciting finish! Congratulations Annika and Team International, you guys ROCK!!!
Posted by: Dee H. | November 30, 2008 at 07:30 AM
What an awesome finish. So many close matches, down to the wire. Congrats to all. Match 3 with Yani and Petterson would have been something to see the way the scoring went. Now its on to Dubai for one last diamond in your crown. Enjoy and savor this victory with all your teammates it is well deserved.

Hey All,
Christina Kim diserves some kuddos for her comments about Annika IN Annikas' presence in an Associated Press invertiew.
see: http//sports.espn.go.com/golf/news/story?id=3734891
She said TO Annika: "The passion, everything that you've done is a milestone. You've been a historic person". WOW!!

That was a SWEET victory!
We absolutely loved the side by side interview with Christina - it is fantastic to hear that the tour loved her this much - peer recognition means so much.
The example she has left for the other ladies to follow is one I would like to see more of in all sports - a high level of respect for the game, for your fellow competitors, for the fans and for the media. Annika sets the bar very high and I will be telling that story to my own kids and the kids I coach.
Go Defend in Dubai!

Sweet, Sweet, Sweet! What an exciting finish to the Lexus Cup. What's the saying? "You girls ROCK!"
Great comments by Annika's peers! Way to go Team International. Have fun, enjoy the victory!

Jill B,
I don't know if you noticed it, but you said Annikas' peers "loved" her as much as we.
Just a few short years ago, perhaps because she was SO DOMINANT then, we were always hearing about how much her peers "respected) her.
Now they are unthreatened and UNashamed to express their "love" and appreciation for WHO she has BEEN and what great things have resulted because of faithfulness to keep growing... to KEEP growing into a BETTER & BETTER P E R S O N.
Would you agree?

Completely Golf54...
We've never heard the wonderful things we are hearing this year - and especially this past month. I was lucky enough to follow Annika in Maui last month and even the gallery talk was amazing - everyone had something positive to say.
As a life long athlete - isn't it hard to admit and harder to express adoration of a competitor in the heat of battle. As Annika steps out of the light - everyone understands the amazing women she is on and off the course...and just how much she will be missed on the tour.
I think it crosses into all groups of people - even as a fan I remember "respecting" but not liking Steffi Graf (because I loved Martini and Steffi was beating her consistently)...and I am even sad to say while I "respect" Lorena's game I was not such a great fan of hers these past couple of years...
We all can learn something from Annika - golf sure but the larger lesson is who she is and how she lived and grew with all of us watching.
