I'm torn in choosing just one item....

Here is my defense:

Annika is always talking about looking at a "body of work" which requires a "selling out" to ones' craft and passion.

She embodies "maintained" excellence in golf and life = the US OpenSSS.

Consistant routines applied "consistantly" = Ms 59, and

RELEVENCE brought to women in golf & sports by breaking of "grass" and glass ceilings for future generations = ANNIKA @ Colonial.

I vote for voting more than once!!!

I repent for a "senior moment"!! My badd for sure....forgot one of the choices in the Celebrating Annika survey...the hole-out at US Women's Open 2008 on the 18th; and I was there!!!!!

This item is special as well because we were there in the shot BEFORE that one where she & Terry continued in sound decision-making and went for the percentage stroke of getting the ball back into the fairway RATHER THAN going for the hero shot over to the 10th fairway and then over the lake to the 18th green.

Turns out she slapped that trusty 6 iron so well that she started a walk to the green knowing that the ball was on target "toward" the hole.

The GENUINE surprise that that sucker had sure enough rolled into the hole was..... PRICELESS!!!

She & Terry EARNED that CHAMPIONS walk because they stayed true to their plan and executed to the very end. I can still FEEL the roar....

We like them all, but we voted for the 59 because it is such a special score.

It was nice to see Annika today at the ADT and we enjoyed walking with her through her nine hole practice round. With all that is going on this week, it is amazing how gracious she is to all her fans..signing autographs, posing for pictures, etc. She is a true champion and consummate professional.

Now, go win that million dollar prize, Annika!

As Golf54 says, it has to be the hole-out at Interlachen during the Open because I was there, too. I had to drag my 11-year old son out of the Kid's Tent so we could see Annika finish up in order to do so! Thankfully he reluctantly agreed, so we were indeed able to witness history. We're also just out of the picture in the video by one or two people. :(

Howard & Helen (and others who are getting to cheer for Annika in person),

Please keep us posted on the "real/inside" story of her rounds. Sometimes we only get the Producers angle of things and miss out on what the people are experiencing as they watch the BEST!!

I'm excited for you all!! Enjoy!!
