Final Round....
Buenos Dias....It's Sunday morning and I am relaxing in the Players' Lounge. I am just about to go warm up in preparation for today's final round. The weather is once again spectacular and I am ready for a great day! I just have to stay patient and focused and keep playing the way I have all week.
We are flying home tonight and I have a busy day at the Academy tomorrow. Then we head down to West Palm Beach for the ADT Championship. I am trying to take things in despite the hectic schedule through the end of the year. Keep your fingers crossed again today....
My fingers are crossed.....as always......good luck

Fingers crossed, if you like . . . but I trust your words . . . You said very recently, "I trust myself and I've done it before".
You've also said, I'M HERE, I can play, and I can play against anyone!!

Keep moving up that leaderboard and hit those target shots that you do so well with your irons. If you get that putter smoking you will put together an awesome round. Will be glued to the tube this afternoon! GO ANNIKA!!!

Britney Lang was chipping and we heard a big "roar". I knew you must have chipped in from the bunker on 16th . . . sure enough you did!!
My heart is pounding with joy and anticipation of your next brilliant golf shotS!!!

Thanks for that, that was kind of you. Must have been a great finish.
Great play Annika, you must very disappointed.
Her'es to next week! Think the last round will be on live TV in Europe as it's on NBC, so on Sky in Europe. We don't get Golf Channel. Please can you help with that, and get LPGA back on TV in Europe?!!

I surely thought you had that putt. The almost eagle should have won it for you. What a round of golf, a great tournament. You played ANNIKA golf which had your fans and the crowd supporting your every stroke. You were in your zone out there. Your golf is every bit as exciting as watching Tiger. Now it is on to the ADT. Safe travels.

Annika--Truly wonderful golf today. Enjoyed watching--just sorry on that last hole...I thought sure it was in! Anyway looking forward to seeing you play at the ADT. Best Wishes for a great week there. My family will be there cheering for you.

Annika,
I'm as proud of you as ever before. You are FANTASTIC!!!
Clearly, you maintained your composure and fight!! Boggie-free round with a final putt that was struck purely.
I play all the DVDs I've been blessed to record "endlessly" because of the "win" outcome, but saving and replaying this one for sure.
You never quit, and if there was any question whether you still had the "heart" to step-it-up and play with high energy and fearless zeal . . . question answered.
May you guys enjoy the flight home, and be blessed beyond measure with Annika Academy activities tomorrow.
We'll be cheering from around the world this coming week at the ADT.
Really excited for you Annika

Some brillant shots, and even with the shots left out there, I'm sure the course will be left with an enduring regard of golf played at its best. All the best.

Loom,
I'll be recording the ADT, and if we all get to holler like Annika-fools next week, will figure out a way to get you the DVD.

Annika,
Thank you once again for the honor of letting us watch you play "Annika golf" this week! What a fantastic finish you put on!! You have the heart of a champion! You may not have won the tournament, but you won all are hearts and will always be thought of as the best of the best.
Good luck at ADT next week-

Annika,
You had most putts grazing edge of the hole.
The putt on 18th hole I thought was in the hole. Bad luck!
I was proud of you today.
Go Annika next week!!!!!

What a wonderful round of golf today and what a show you put on for us! That bunker shot for birdie on 16th was classic ANNIKA! You were definitely in the hunt after that. The approach shot on 18 looked like it was going in; just missed by a fraction. You certainly know how to creat high drama and that's what's so fun about watching you play. You should be very proud of yourself this week - we certainly are of you. Once again, giving it your all to the end; that's all we can expect from you. Well played!!! A sign of a true champ!

GREATNESS was PERSONIFIDE . . . even without a "win" . . . . Wow!!!
Posted by: Golf54deciple | November 16, 2008 at 04:05 PM
Anders,
thnx for sharing a broadcast website where those who may not get the Golf Channel per se can still see our beloved Annika.
I hate the very idea that availablity isn't world-wide . . .. YET!! Who knows, perhaps Annika will become a TV communication mogul as one of her eventual branding outreaches.
With our lady, we leave ALL doors open . . . .
Posted by: Golf54deciple | November 16, 2008 at 04:17 PM
Great round today, Annika! I'm sorry that danged hole mistreated you on the 18th. And your approach came 1/2 inch from going into the hole on 18 after a great shot. Great tournament, great show! Thank you! See you in the ADT, Champ! :-)

Hi Annika,
I can't help but meow this: You are busier than a one-eyed cat watching two mouse holes. And despite your hectic schedule you were just a whisker away from winning this tournament. Congratulations and thanks for playing some really good golf. It was a joy to watch!
Looking forward to prowling around your gallery at the ADT and watching more of the same live and in person!
Go Annika!!!

AtC...a one eyed cat watching 2 mouse holes??? Hahahahahahahaha. She WAS about a whisker's width away from winning on the spin-back after that approach shot! These are really some hot shots we're seeing lately from Annika. She's more fired up than a cat on a hot tin roof!
Posted by: Dee H. | November 16, 2008 at 08:24 PM
Annika is very close to being at top form, in fact, I believe she may be there. Her shots are crisp and accurate, and the fire inside is burning. She just won a couple of events, she almost won this one...this is very good. Annika is ready to win the ADT next week, and I'll be watching.
Posted by: Dee H. | November 16, 2008 at 09:34 PM
Annika, spectacular golf. Do NOT give up, not yet. Next week is your time, your time to shine. You work so hard that you deserve to win. Don't let this loss get you down. Continue to do what you are doing and everything will fall into place at the ADT.
I know you can do it, and you know you can do it to. One more time, Annika!
Posted by: Andrew | November 16, 2008 at 09:46 PM
Annika,
Just like many tournaments before, you had me on the edge of my seat. What a great game of golf you played once again. Thanks for trying so hard. You are the best. Good luck next week.

Annika,
Heading back to sleep, but was awakened for a "pit stop" . . . figured I may as well take advantage of a quiet moment right?
Err ..... humm, or MEOW . . . was just thinking how you demonstrated this past week so marvelously the philosphy how one can "actually" zero in on making a golf shot "when it's time" AND, "resting in between shots". You really seemed to acknowlege completely all the ANNIKA we love you! from the hordes of sincere, energetic fans trying to get your attention tempered with whispers of nature calling out with it's breath-taking beauty.
All of that is part of ANNIKA Golf.
There even was a camera shot of you at the 15h tee box of ROUND 3 where you had just hit your tee shot and had stepped back next to your bag to say something to Terry; you had the type of LOOK in the eye where I wondered if maybe you spotted "Mike" ;-) It was cute.
There was a gleem in the eye, a quick smile, then a look away .... like . . . oops is the TV camera still on me!!! I don't know, only you can say!
Did anybody else see that??!!! I'm tellin' ya, go back and look at your recording!
Lastly, many, many THANKS to TMac!! Whatever he said to you by text message (Val mentioned it during the Golf Channel broadcast), you apparently took it to heart in the right way.
Dottie has said on many occasions how Terry is very, very astute at "what, when & how" to say certain things to you at pivotal times. Boy is she right!!
Anywho, we saw EVEN MORE the "cool" of a verteran, but the roar of a proud Mama-Cat!!
Yesterday was Angela's time.
This week?? Perhaps yours, and the following event she & you as teammates at the Lexus Cup . . . .
In Dubai?? Perhaps YOURS to repeat as DEFENDINBG C H A M P!!!!
P.S. I'm TOO awake now to sleep ... so it's get atbusy at morning exercises, then off to work earlier, than early!!! Ha!!!!

What an unbelievable finish - I thought that shot was in and was ready for an exciting playoff!
Looks like your focused and set for next week. I'll see you in West Palm!

WOW - what a finish Annika!
Love the "library shot" at 16 and then I just KNEW that birdie putt on 18 was going in.
Was not meant to be.
All the best at the ADP - we'll be watching and cheering from California - wish we could be there!
GO ANNIKA!

Just caught the highlights on Golf Channel. Wow Annika was unlucky!
Annika, great tournament, the golfing gods deserted you at the last but maybe they're keeping some putts back for the ADT this week. You must be so up for the event this week. We're all with you too.

Wow! Compelling was the word for that final round, and I am so glad I got to see it.
Keep that fire burning next weekend, Annika, and we'll be watching you take the ADT. My, but that would be fitting, wouldn't it? Bookending the career with wins coming in and going out.
We can dream, can't we?
Best -

You continue to inspire and take our breath away with magnificent golf shots, committed focus and CLASS. What an awesome tournament in Mexico.
Of course we'd love to see you win the ADT but just watching you play has been such a treat. We'll be glued to the TV during the ADT. Here's wishing you all the best!
