Greetings. It's Saturday morning here and we are ready for day two of the Lexus Cup. After six hard fought matches yesterday, we are tied at 3-3. That wasn't exactly what I had in mind, but it sure beats last year's 6-0 day one deficit to the Asian Team! Well played to Cristie Kerr and Karen Stupples, Paula and Nicole Castrale, and Katherine Hull and Nikki Campbell for getting us victories. Angela and I played well but lost our match to Jeong Jang and Candie Kung...they shot six under, which is pretty amazing in foursomes!
I am happy once again with today's pairings. We changed a few things around from yesterday, but kept some of the winning teams together. I am playing with Suzann and we are going out first. We have had a lot of success together in Solheim Cups, so I thought it would be fun to give it one last run. Hopefully, we'll set the tone for a great day!
YES, this year has a much better start, and as you often say, "anything can happen"
I love the picture with today's post, so go to "dudettes"!! Your fans are out in full force there and around the world.

You and Suzanne are doing great so far, and it all just got started, and is all square thanks to a birdie by Suzanne.

"Definition: Four Ball is a match pitting two teams of two players (a total of four balls being played, hence the name) against each other using better-ball scoring.
All four players play their own ball throughout; at the end of each hole, the low score between the two partners on each team is that team's score."
This definition helped me to understand what I was looking at in the scoring. Right now, it's all square. It does seem like this competition is going to be tight all the way through.

4 of their teams are at least 1 Up, and only our Creamer/Castrale team are 1 Up, with the earliest team through 8 holes. This would be a crucial time for Team International to dig deep and get back in it. Come on guys, GO ANNIKA!!!

Progress! 2 of our teams are Up now, and Annika's team is only one back. Suzanne had 3 Birdies in a row, and Big A threw one in for good measure. Keep it up Team I, you're fighting back, I'm proud of you!

Peg, when I saw that last hole with Annika's Eagle, I jumped for joy! What a dramatic ending! Annika saved the best for last and Suzanne got 8 birdies! Bravo for the win Annika and Suzanne! Looks like the rest of the matches could end up well also.

Annika, I want some stats on what happened on the 18th hole for you! Congratulations! And Suzanne, you treated my hero right! Actually, I'm very fond of Suzanne, and have been for quite a while, I wish her only the best with her career. Congrats to the Kerr/Alfredsson team on their win also. I'm keeping my fingers crossed for the rest of the rounds, if Creamer/Castrale could halve their match, T.I. could have an edge into tomorrow.

Eagled the last hole?? Way to go Annika & Suzann!! A dream pairing once again. Great memories for the two of them I'm sure.
If the Aussie's can keep or increase their lead, then it will be 6 to 6. Let's see what happens....

Annika. What a way to get a point for your team. That is so ANNIKAESQUE. Under the circumstances, no one else in Golf could make that Eagle. Congratulations! Good Luck to the team on Sunday! Bring home the Cup.
