Namaste...
I planned this yoga trip almost 12 months ago. It’s finally here and my friend Vicky and I arrived today at this secluded retreat. This is a new experience for us both, so we are quite excited to see what the next few days will bring.
We were greeted by a friendly staff this morning with a welcome drink of water and coconut oil. This is a serene hideaway of whispering palms and twittering birds. It’s all about commune with nature and yourself. We are here to discover the joy of slowing down, set the body and mind free. We can unwind, cleanse, and soak in the peace of the tranquility surroundings. The theme is yoga, meditation and eat light, healthy and fresh. I have already participated in a yoga class.
We started slowly with Hatha and Pranayama (some breathing exercises). I followed the session with a Balinese massage which involves deep manipulation of the body’s soft tissue. I already feel like a new person. Dinner is served at 8 pm and consists of food that is grown on the property. It’s fully vegan and the exotic herbs, vegetables and spices will heal the body and sooth the mind.
I hope I can stay awake until then. In the meantime, I lay in bed resting and the only noise I can hear from my “tent” are a few crickets and my growling stomach…
Oh Annika, I hope you get to eat soon! Have a wonderful, relaxing, and well-deserved vacation!

Hi Annika,
You must be purring or soon will! This therapeutic break is so well deserved. Just reading this post is putting me in a trance. Maybe The ANNIKA Academy can offer Yoga too.

By golly, Annika, that does sound relaxing. Apparently they don't serve pasta cassarole, eh?
By the way, what country are you in ? And be careful over there. It's a strange world we live in.
Good luck defending in Dubai!!!!

Buzz, I think she may be in an undisclosed location! After this, the other golfers have no hope in Dubai!

To finally arrive at a vacation you have been anticipating for 12 months is magical...imagine what next Monday will feel like.
Enjoy your time Annika.

Your retreat sounds heavenly and so relaxing. You deserve all this pampering; you've been working hard this past week! Taking your mind off "work" for a while always is much needed and I'm sure will produce the results you'll want in Dubai!

what an interesting adventure . . . I like the part about "feeling like a new person"...hmmm
Everyone should get to experience sounds of nature from their very own "tent". Really, now that's "livin"!!

Annika, sounds like a wonderful vacation resort and a place to relax and get some serious R & R.
When is the Dubai tourney? Have seen nothing in the paper and noted that it will not be televised. Hope you post on your blog. Good luck in defending your title. Keep us posted. Tx. prandall

All be well. Sounds like a thorough wholistic approach, well of body and mind. Yoga is quite a complex discipline. Learn much to enjoy. All the best.
