It is Saturday morning and another weekend is upon us. Where does the time go? It was a pretty busy week with some photo shoots, lots of house appointments and meetings. I guess time flies when you are “having fun.” My Mom has told be many times that time goes faster as you get older. I now know what she means!
The sun is shining and I have had some breakfast (juice, fruit, tea and some toast). I think I am going to the pool to swim some laps. I have changed my work out routine since life on tour, especially being pregnant as I feel a little limited with regards to what I can and can’t do. However, swimming has no impact and I don’t feel the extra weight around my belly……now 12 lbs!
After that it will be time to get started on our many house duties. We have to move furniture out of the garage and put it into the guest house…..luckily Kai has offered to help. Then Mike and I have to put a bed together, which should be pretty funny! Our new wine cellar was just finished so I am excited to start putting some bottles in it. We have two full refrigerators in the garage to empty. I hope the bottles weren’t too cold! We’ll find out eventually.
Happy Saturday my friends!
Good Morning Annika,
It's been forever since I have been on the blog - probably since meeting you in Maui in October...
I have a 12 week old baby boy - and he is the most magical thing I have ever known.
Yesterday was my first day away from him - I played in a fun work related golf tourney - it was interesting to say the least - while I played pretty well - golf is not quite what I remember before Jackson was born... ; )
Simply said - priorities and life change...
In watching the LPGA these past months - go Kristy Mc - I still miss watching you but as I dance with Jackson while we check out the ladies play - I think about the journey that lies ahead for you and I am excited for you and Mike!
Have a blast and I hope the wine is okay...ttu soon from the Bay Area...

Jill B - Welcome back to The Blog and congratulations on the birth of your son Jackson. Who knows – maybe one day Jackson & Annika & Mike’s – Little One – will be blogging with each other.
AND -
Whoa Annika!
That’s quite the trophy you are carrying around. I have this feeling that little girl in there is going to have one great purrsonality.
I’ve been enjoying following you on Twitter. I didn’t know much about it. I also noticed that Pia & Lynn are twitting away too. I just have to remember to turn my IPhone’s new text message sound off at night. Since the girls are in Sweden – I had a 3:00 AM wake up text – that was not on this Cat’s agenda! :-) But I will keep it on in September – just in case you tell us all you are off to deliver the next Open Queen!
Go Annika!

Annika,
A great photo of you with your "new" body! Twelve pounds is nothing right now, wait until you hit 30+ lbs! But it is all worth it; trust me! Yes, enjoy the time because it does go by sooo fast!

Oh my! The 19th hole does do damage to one's body, eh? It used to give me a hangover.
Your Mom and mine must have gone to the same school....."Time goes quicker the older you get" resonates in my ears, and has for many years.
You're looking as pretty as ever, and as happy too.
Take care

Annika,
Wow! Your little one has grown quite a bit since we saw you at Wente. But you look great!
We sympathize with having to move wine bottles into the cellar as we've had to do that a couple of times... but trust me it will be worth it.
We are bringing a bottle of Annika Syrah with us tonight for dinner at my sister's. All the guests are in for a treat!
Best of luck with your house chores and as always, thanks for sharing your experiences with all of us.
Be well-
BK

Well look at you... boy you're eating this time up aren't you?
So does Kai help with the exercise program or is this out of his area of expertise?
Many congrat to you Jill B & family. My what a productive year.
And Buzz, Mom said years go in 5's and I just used to roll my eyes and now I eat my words!!
How did it get to June already!!

WOW, the "wee" girly is certainly growing! She will be a strong girl like her mum!
It is great to be able to "share" with you this incredible phase in your life (which we know you wanted for a while)... it is quite different to see you with a belly :) , but you look great and (most importantly) happy.
Do you find yourself imagining what your daughter's little face will look like? I know I do!
Anyway, keep healthy and strong, but most of all happy!
All the best,

Look at that cute litle belly forming! I know how you must be feeling because I felt the same way when I was expecting my son. So exciting! Thanks for sharing your life with us, Annika.

Annika & Mike, Hope all of your plans for your weekend activities have all been successfully completed. Bet "little girl" is enjoying her mother's rhythmic motion as she swims her fitness laps. Good to know all is well with you 3. Great photo Annika.

What a great photo! You look so happy. Nice to read that you are doing things around the house that we all have to do from time to time. In prior years, you hardly had time to take a deep breath between tournaments. Now, you've got loads of time to enjoy Mike and your new life together, even if it means moving furniture and putting beds together.
Take it from us, two senior citizens...your mom is right...time does go faster as you get older.
Thanks for keeping your life in our lives!

Time goes by way too fast, doesn't it? Looks like you're doing well and sounds like you are totally happy in life these days. Congratulations to you--that's a major achievement. I have twin 12 year old daughters and yet I can still remember how I felt being pregnant and all the "stops" in between their birth and now :-) Enjoy the ride because when it gets bumpy that will sustain you.
Also, make sure you keep getting help with that furniture!! Take advantage while you can :-)
