Hi everyone. This is Ava writing my first blog. I
came into this world yesterday, which was 18 days ahead of schedule. I feel
fine, and the folks in funny suits that come in to see me keep telling my
parents that everything is great. Whatever that means.
I assume Mama is doing well. Though I’ll have to take Dad’s word for it because he says she has a high pain tolerance and never complains anyways. Mama tells me that we have a lot of great friends out there who have been extremely supportive. Some of you even approved of my name in a poll a couple weeks ago. I figured I would thank all of you and send you some photos from my first day of life.
It’s been a long day. Time for a nap.

Congrat's to the McGee's. I am a father of a 15 year old girl. And it truely seems like only yesterday I was holding her in my arms after she was born. Annika, remember your first win? WOW just like it was yesterday and see all of the things you have accomplished already! That sums up parenthood pretty well.
Girls are the best, enjoy every minuet.

We are so happy for you and your husband. Thank you for sharing an intimate moment. As a mother of a PGA Nationwide tour player, I will tell you that the years go fast. However, I still remember those precious moments when we were "introduced" to such a wonderful gift. Enjoy these first weeks. They are so special and tender. And what a blessing to have a girl! I'm a mother of two wonderful sons.

My husband and I tried for nine years to get pregnant and we just introduced our little Ava into the world in July. Its such a blessing. It is cutting into the golf time, but thats ok :) your ava is precious. Congratulations!!

Great photos of a wonderful family! Ava is a doll! Those baby hospital blankets haven't changed at all; they seem to be universal as I wrapped my daughter in one when she was born overseas. Brings back so many fond memories. All 3 of my kids arrived early too; they are on their own time table! Enjoy this miracle you have produced!
